Trip to the pumpkin patch

It's not fall with out the annual trip to the pumpkin farm.
We decided to visit a new place that was closer to home.

We chose The Bergeson's pumpkin farm.

It's a cute little place.

They had a cute little corn maze.

And lots of fun things to enjoy.

Then we went on a hayride.

We were happy to have Grandma join us on our little trip.
Kaden was telling her she should come next year too.
But-- he assured her we will go somewhere scary. Kaden missed
the haunted hayride that he usually enjoys.

The boy has no fear!!!

You wouldn't know this but we had the whole wagon to ourselves. haha When we arrived at the pumpkin farm... it was very cold. The wind was blowing and we even sat through rain sprinkles. When we left it was raining harder, but we were protected in the car by that time.

I think his favorite part of the whole day was feeding and petting the animals.

Especially when they licked his arm and tickled him.
he loved that.
You should of heard his laughter.

So, if you are looking for a pumpkin farm and you live in the area with a little toddler or preschool age child this is worth checking out. We are glad we did.

Next year, something with a haunted corn maze and hay ride for the monster who loves spooky things.

Hope you all have a great night.

Pumpkin cookies

It's a tradition at our house to always make cut out sugar cookies for every holiday. At Christmas time we do this as a family.
These cookies were made, however, by

Kaden and yours truly. {mom}

At first I was a little disappointed ...but I know they are growing up and
not all that interested in making cute pumpkin faces. =)

So this cute little guy and I had lots of fun.

He is a good helper.

The loot...

Cute little helper
Of course we had to make some football cookies showing off our beloved
Green Bay Packers.
We shared them with our friends at the packer party.
They were a hit.

We enjoyed making cookies together. We shared a cute little platter with Grandma & Grandpa, our packer friends at the party, and we made up some cute little cookies and are sharing with my Uncle Benny.

What are your traditions for the halloween season? This is just one of ours.

The boys of fall -Kenny Chesney

When I feel that chill, smell that fresh cut grass/
I'm back in my helmet, cleats and shoulder pads/
Standing in the huddle listening to the call/
Fans going crazy for the boys of fall/
They didn't let just anybody in that club/
Took every ounce of heart and sweat and blood/
To get to wear those game day jerseys down the hall/
Kings of the school man, we're the boys of fall/

(Chorus:)
Well it's turn and face the Stars and Stripes/
It's fighting back them butterflies/
It's call it in the air, alright yes sir we want the ball/
And it's knocking heads and talking trash/
It's slinging mud and dirt and grass/
It's I got your number, I got your back when your back's against the wall/
You mess with one man you got us all/
The boys of fall/

In little towns like mine that's all they got/
Newspaper clippings fill the coffee shops/
The old men will always think they know it all/
Young girls will dream about the boys of fall/

(Chorus:)
Well it's turn and face the Stars and Stripes/
It's fighting back them butterflies/
It's call it in the air, alright yes sir we want the ball/
And it's knocking heads and talking trash/
It's slinging mud and dirt and grass/
It's I got your number, I got your back when your back's against the wall/
You mess with one man you got us all/

Play

You always
have to make
time to
PLAY!!!

It's essential for a child to play.

They learn through play...

Children need the freedom and time to play

Play is not a luxury
it is a
necessity.

What I LOVE Wednesdays

I have seen this Wednesday post all over blog world

and thought I would join in on the fun!
Listing
what you

L O V E

and here is mine...

Of course my boys are on top of the list...
all four  of them!
I'm so blessed to have these four in my life <3

They  fill my heart with lots of love....

Next...

This bible study has helped me a lot lately. Since life raising children and busy lifestyles are at times hectic and sometimes life tends to be so busy that you lose the prospective on what is most important. God. Jesus. and keeping them first!

Fall is my favorite time of the year! I love the crisp air, the chilly nights, the warm sun during the day, the rainy days, the pumpkin patch, the hay rides, haunted houses, scary movies, apple picking, fall scents, apple cider, and all there there is to love about this glorious season!
Yes, I love Fall!

I love Miss Me jeans!!! I am a huge fan. Love the way they fit, love the way the look on. I love them.

Fall sweaters, scarves, and hoodies are my favorite attire for fall along with boots. I love this sweater and looks super cute with boots. Big chunky ugg boots or dressy boots. Either way I love it.

I love drinking water and adding propel zero flavor packets when I need a flavor boost.

Since I am working and my house needs to be cleaned by me... I have found this cleaning schedule and LOVE it. I love a clean house, but again our schedules are crazy so it doesn't allow me to major clean each day. This schedule has helped me a lot this past week.

Althoug I love all those things listed above... this is what I love the most.

Pepperoni pizza roll up recipe and lots of chatter

What's for dinner is a popular question around here.

With our busy schedules it's impossible to find a time for the whole family to sit down and eat dinner at the table.

I feel it's so important to eat together at the family table then in front of a tv or with other distractions.

Sitting together at dinner time is a great time to actually sit down and talk with your kids.

Talk about your day, how their day at school was and really keeping in close touch with them.

In the world we live in with technology taking over...

it's nice to
just sit and talk with our kids.

However,

during the week it is next to
Impossible to sit down as a family at a decent hour.

With Blaine's schedule of boxing and lifting.
Trent's schedule of football practice, and Kaden's flag football practice and games.

Then I can't forget my work schedule. Trying to plan meals and have them simple yet healthy and try to get it all on the table so they can eat before rushing out the door to another activity.

Usually it is Kaden and mom eating dinner at the table then heating up plates for the rest of the family when they come home.

I long for the weekend when we all can sit down together and enjoy our dinner.

I found this recipe and made it for the first time on Sunday for the Packer/Lions football game!! Did you happen to catch that game? Yahoo! we kicked some lion booty.

Yes, I may love football and I love my packers!

Well I could ramble here all day ...but I want to share this recipe with you all. I didn't take any pictures of me making it as my camera battery was charging and I was in a hurry.
{translated to: I didn't plan ahead on that one..}

It's not a diet worthy recipe but one that is a spurge and really tasty.

You can thank me later

=)
