Pepperoni pizza roll up recipe and lots of chatter

What's for dinner is a popular question around here.

With our busy schedules it's impossible to find a time for the whole family to sit down and eat dinner at the table.

I feel it's so important to eat together at the family table then in front of a tv or with other distractions.

Sitting together at dinner time is a great time to actually sit down and talk with your kids.

Talk about your day, how their day at school was and really keeping in close touch with them.

In the world we live in with technology taking over...

it's nice to
just sit and talk with our kids.

However,

during the week it is next to
Impossible to sit down as a family at a decent hour.

With Blaine's schedule of boxing and lifting.
Trent's schedule of football practice, and Kaden's flag football practice and games.

Then I can't forget my work schedule. Trying to plan meals and have them simple yet healthy and try to get it all on the table so they can eat before rushing out the door to another activity.

Usually it is Kaden and mom eating dinner at the table then heating up plates for the rest of the family when they come home.

I long for the weekend when we all can sit down together and enjoy our dinner.

I found this recipe and made it for the first time on Sunday for the Packer/Lions football game!! Did you happen to catch that game? Yahoo! we kicked some lion booty.

Yes, I may love football and I love my packers!

Well I could ramble here all day ...but I want to share this recipe with you all. I didn't take any pictures of me making it as my camera battery was charging and I was in a hurry.
{translated to: I didn't plan ahead on that one..}

It's not a diet worthy recipe but one that is a spurge and really tasty.

You can thank me later

Riding the four wheelers

Another favorite for our family is

Four wheeling on the quads.
This is something our family has enjoyed for years!!!!

Kaden was finally allowed to drive this year. I still don't trust him riding all by himself because the quads are so big...but he loves being able to drive mom all over.
Trent is a beast on the trails. Riding four wheelers is like second nature to him just like football.

These trails are made for riding and that is what we love to do!

Lots of trails=lots of riding!

While riding four wheeler I love being out in God's nature and all that he so graciously blessed us with. And sometimes that does also include signs of badgers and bears. Trent showed me a few spots in the corn field where bears had tracked through the corn and knocked down lots of corn. That scares me so much.

Recently we had a bear hunter who harvested a bear from these very fields just a week or two ago. The cameras installed show several bears. I sure hope they have roamed to another field so we can return riding four wheeler.

Here are a few more pictures from a previous ride...

Do you see the deer in the field? It's a tiny spot in the tall weeds...we scared it as it was laying in the weeds.

Riding four wheeler=One happy boy!!!!

On Labor day weekend I believe, Trent and Grandpa took the quads up to some friends house and met my cousin Brad and his friends. They spent the day four wheeling on the trails up to the pipeline. I don't have pictures from that trip as it was so muddy  no one took a camera or used their phones for a camera. But- I will promise you they had lots of fun and returned extremely muddy!

Trent gave it two thumbs up and said let's do it again!

Miller family picnic

My dads side of the family we had a get together at my Uncle Benny and Auntie Gloria's house. About a month before the picnic date my uncle texted me that he was really missing my auntie Gloria who passed away a year and a half ago, from a long battle with cancer.  I mentioned that he was always welcome to come visit us all up north and remindend him that he is still family.  He suggested us driving south and visiting him. That is when my cousin Gail and I put our heads together. You see, Gail and I have been trying to get our families together all summer. This sounded like a perfect opporunity. Gail lives 2 hours south from us. So, we did some menu planning and ran the idea past my uncle. He quickly started planning. Seems that he really enjoys company and being the host. =)

The day rolled around and I promise you it was the HOTTEST day (97' with high levels of humidity) of the whole summer, however, it didn't stop anyone from having a good time. We just did it sweaty! Ha!

My cousin Gail and her children along with her grandson
My uncles looking back at many old pictures. Remembering childhood days, weddings, going to school at the "old wood school" I remember my dad always telling stories about the wood school. They had one class room which held grades from 1st-8th. That amazes me.
 There was lost of playing
Gail and my cousin Chris (aka Christopher the George)
 Uncle Benny, Chris, and Brad
Myself and Ashley (my cousins daughter) sweetest young lady
Trent, Zack, Tracy, and Uncle Dale

It was a really nice time and we look forward to the next get together. It's coming up in a few months. So, stay tuned!

I will leave you with this cute little poem I thought was fitting.

We are a football family!

Yes, we love football and we love our Green Bay Packers!
After all, the pack is America's team!

Every summer before pre season and opening season our beloved packers host a packer family night! This has been a yearly ritual for us. Every year it lands pretty close to Trent's birthday or on the actual day. Which works out great...since he is all about football.

Lambeau field is our favorite place in Wisconsin!!!
